How To Make A Pneumatic Sprinkler Valve (Electric Solenoid) Potato Gun

How To Build:

Step 1 - Cut the PVC pipes with a hack saw to the appropriate lengths according to the diagram below. Make sure the pipes are cleaned.

Step 2 - Wrap some teflon tape on the thick end of the shrader valve about 4 or 5 times around. Drill a small hole equal to the circumference of the thick end of the shrader valve on the 4" PVC pipe (Air Tank) where shown. Use a wrench to screw the schrader valve into the small hole.

Step 3 - Attach the solenoid valve and connect the wires to the three 9 volt batteries exactly as it is shown in the diagram. A switch should also be added to one of the wires as shown in the diagram.

Step 4 - Apply PVC primer then PVC cement to the ends of the pipes where shown while cementing all the pipes together. Wait 24 Hours for the cement to dry before shooting.

How To Use:

Shove a potato with a ramrod or a stick down to the end of the barrel. Hook up a bike pump or an air compressor to the the shrader valve. Pump up the air tank to about 60-100 psi. Push the switch to fire the gun.
